1) Using VPN Providers or Apps
VPN (Virtual Private Network) secures the connection between your device and the website. Your IP address while using VPN is entirely different.
This removes the restrictions for viewing the sites. Also, the data sent and received through a VPN network is encrypted to keep hackers at bay. Windscribe, Hotspot Shield, OpenVPN are the best VPNs out there to make use of.
There are many free as well as paid VPNs. Depending upon your requirements you may select the one you need.
2) Access Blocked Websites Using Proxy Websites
A Proxy Website hides the blocked/restricted website from the ISP’s. This camouflaging of restricted sites enable you to access blocked sites.
But in terms of privacy and security, VPN is always the best option. Proxy Websites can be useful in restricted areas where social media sites, news sites are blocked. This can help you get the relevant information for free.
By just typing the name of the website plus the keyword “proxy,” you can find many proxy servers. Use according to your needs.
3) Using IP address instead of URL
Every website has its IP address just like our device has. Sometimes, when a website is blocked, it’s the URL that is stored in the server because of which the website is inaccessible.
But, in some cases, the server does not store the IP address of the restricted site. In this case, try to obtain the IP address of the website by entering “ping www.domainname.com” in the command prompt.
Enter this IP address in the address bar of your browser and chances are that the site will open.
4) Access Blocked Websites by Changing Network Proxy in browsers
An institution, office, or even colleges might have network access through a proxy. There can be one or many proxies in use. Not all proxies used by your institution would have restrictions. In this case, try changing the current proxy of your browser.
All you have to do is go to the connections settings of your browser and change proxy to one with no restrictions.
5) Adding a browser extension to bypass restrictions
Chrome and Firefox browsers can be customized with tonnes of extensions. And yes, there are extensions that help bypass the website restrictions.
Ahoy, Ivacy, hide.me are the browser extensions that once added give you complete access to any websites which are restricted. Even HTTPS everywhere sometimes helps you bypass blocks.
6) Replace your DNS Server
Changing your DNS server would also do the trick for accessing restricted websites. Use Google DNS or Open DNS instead of your previous DNS, and that’s it, no restrictions.
You can change your DNS from your browser settings.
7) Access Blocked Websites Using Wayback Machine
Wayback Machine is a service that stores copies of almost every website present on the internet.
Every version of a website is saved by it. Wayback Machine contains lots of exciting content like games, books, movies which can be accessed in case their website has been blocked. Though you might not necessarily get the latest content.
8) Using Tor Browser
The most effective method to access blocked websites after VPNs and proxies are using Tor browser. Tor browser makes us anonymous over the internet. Download tor from here
It can bypass the restrictions of websites if settings are applied correctly. Due to its security and privacy, tor browser is used to surf the Dark Web and .onion websites.

Using portable firefox is recommended when you do not have access to install apps on the system.
10) Access Blocked Websites by URL Rewriting
There are instances when a particular website is hosted in a VPN, and it doesn’t have a verified SSL installed.
For such websites, you can go to the address bar of your web browser and try typing https://www.url.com, instead of accessing www.url.com or http://www.url.com.
This change might display a security notice, but you can press the Proceed Anyway option and visit the website. This isn’t a foolproof method, but it could be handy at times when you cannot find any other way to bypass the protection.

14) Access Blocked Websites using Mobile version of sites

The command will run the SOCKS server on port 12345. You will be asked for a username and password. After a successful login, minimize the terminal, don’t close it. Try to use this method only to bypass blocked websites which are technically legal (not torrents).
